I love raising my kids in Waco, and I’ve loved swimming for as long as I can remember. Swimming is more than a sport or a summer activity—it’s a life skill. It builds strength, confidence, and coordination, but most importantly, it teaches children how to be safe in and around the water. These are skills that can truly last a lifetime.

As parents, we all want our children to grow, thrive, and feel confident—but we also know how quickly schedules can become overwhelming. Between school, activities, and family life, committing to year-round programs isn’t always realistic. That’s why summer swim leagues across the country have endured for generations: they offer structure, growth, and community while preserving the joy and freedom of summer.

Our family needed that balance—and I knew many others did too.

Waco had never had a dedicated summer swim league, so Central Texas Swim Club was born. From the beginning, our goal has been simple: create a welcoming, affordable program where children can learn to swim well, grow in confidence, and enjoy the water in a safe and supportive environment. We work hard to keep costs as low as possible because access to water safety and swim education should never feel out of reach.

Water safety is at the core of everything we do. When children learn proper technique, awareness, and respect for the water, it gives families peace of mind and children lifelong confidence. Our hope is that every swimmer leaves our program not just faster or stronger - but safer.

This mission is also deeply personal. My brother and I grew up swimming and coaching together, and the pool holds some of my most cherished memories. After losing him in a drowning accident, my commitment to teaching strong swim skills and water safety became even more meaningful. Central Texas Swim Club is a way to honor those memories while helping other families feel more secure and supported.

Thank you for believing in this vision and for trusting us with your children. Watching swimmers grow, sometimes dramatically in just one or two summers, has been the greatest reward. I’m so grateful to build this community with you and excited for what’s ahead.
